Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026

This is a working public draft prepared for early MacBaram sales review and checkout approval. It will be updated as product implementation, support process, and legal review become final.

1. Local-First Principle

MacBaram is designed to run primarily on your Mac. Hardware control, policy decisions, diagnostic events, and restore events are handled locally. Cloud services are used only for supporting functions such as license checks, checkout, customer support, optional diagnostic package receipt, and optional AI reports where available.

2. Information MacBaram May Process Locally

MacBaram may process local device and operating information such as Mac model, macOS version, app version, daemon version, fan and temperature readings, battery status, power source details, sleep/display state, permission state, policy decisions, restore events, incidents, and support case context.

3. Diagnostic Packages

Diagnostic packages are support-analysis files created on your Mac. They are not uploaded automatically. You choose whether to review, export, and send a package manually. App or process names should be excluded by default unless you explicitly choose to include a redacted summary for troubleshooting.

4. Information Excluded by Default

MacBaram diagnostic packages should not include your documents, screenshots, screen recordings, browser history, clipboard contents, shell history, raw license keys, API tokens, secrets, source files, or full file paths by default.

5. Payments and Licensing

Payments may be processed by Lemon Squeezy or another payment provider. We may receive order, product, license, entitlement, billing status, refund, and chargeback information needed to activate or manage your MacBaram license. Do not send payment secrets, passwords, or private keys to MacBaram support.

6. Optional AI Reports

If optional AI report features are offered, the report should use a reduced report context or a user-approved diagnostic package. AI reports are for explanation and support. They do not control your Mac hardware directly.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with service providers needed for checkout, licensing, customer support, hosting, email, analytics, or optional AI report generation. We may also disclose information if required by law.

8. Retention and Deletion

Local diagnostic data remains on your Mac unless you export and send it. Support records and payment records may be retained as needed for customer support, accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and product improvement. You may contact us to request deletion of support data where applicable.
